This section of a reconstruction of the Baths of Diocletian, shows well the colossal
size of the central vaults. We can still see this hall today used as the nave of
the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli.

Above the façade of the great outside pool, five small temples,
richly decorated with statues and friezes, must have been giving to the visitors and impressive vision of splendour.
