The Arch of Gratian Valentinian and Theodosius has been built between 379 and 383 AD by the three emperors Gratian, Valentinian and Theodosius, probably to complete the alignment of their Porticus Maximæ, that goes along the right side of the Via Tecta, in the centre of the picture.
